I’ll be presenting my workshop called “Forgotten Discipline: Fiction Craftsmanship” starting at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, at the Palette and the Page in Elkton, Maryland. The address is 120 E Main St, Elkton, MD 21921, (410) 398-3636. The workshop is intended for fiction writers looking to hone their craft. Then, on Friday, September 3, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., I’ll be back at the Palette and the Page to serve wine and autograph my books. Hope to see you at one or both events.
I hope your dental surgery went well. I’m having a bridge installed next week myself.

Hey, Bob. So good to hear from you. Yeah, my surgery went well, but it seemed endless. It really did take four hours, and I was conscious the whole time. That’s not how I want to spend what little of life I have left. On the good side, I suffered no pain at all, and soon I’ll be able to chew on the right side of my mouth.

I can’t imagine how awful it must have been to sit in a dental chair for 4 hours. You must have been exhausted. Glad it’s over for you.

Yeah, it was pretty terrible. I was able eventually to put myself into a comatose state, almost like being asleep. I’m very glad it’s over. Maybe I won’t have to go through something like that again.
