A Veteran’s Dark Lifetime Gift

Today’s Washington Post carries an op-ed that moved my heart. It says what I tried to say in my earlier blog post today, but says it better than I did. It’s at https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/a-veterans-dark-lifetime-gift/2017/11/10/c280df2c-c4cb-11e7-afe9-4f60b5a6c4a0_story.html

Read it with care.

  1. Very moving. Frank was in the Pacific Theatre for 3+ years during WW2. Except for the various tropical fevers and skin diseases, he never mentioned those days until the19 80’s when his Air Corps squadron began to have bi-annual reunions.. When he was reunited with his Army Air Corps comrades, they kept the banter relatively light.. Now they all are gone…. Anne
